Day 3 - Personal Branding Challenge

Day 3 - Personal Branding Challenge

This is Day 3 of the 7-Day challenge to help you be more visible on LinkedIn ๐Ÿš€

You can find here Day 1, 24, 5, 6 or 7.

Each day I will share one simple action step to improve your LinkedIn presence ๐Ÿ”Ž And I will make sure it will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Let's go!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is one section on LinkedIn that you are not using to its full potentialโ€ฆ

Today we are talking about the featured section.

Some people pin there their favourite / most successful posts. Others simply put their CV there.

But that part, as Justin Welsh puts it, is PRIME real estate. As are your banner and your bio.

So what can you put there?

For example, most freelancers / creators place there a low ticket offer (freebie, free newsletter, discovery call) and a high ticket one (paid course / service / bundle / coaching package, etc.).

If you are looking for a job, you can put 2 projects you are most proud and in the middle - your fabulous video resume ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or a blog post with a case study about one of your projects.

No certifications/awards, please, there is another section for that.

You can picture it like this: Try to transform your abstract USP into concrete in the featured section. How can I make this section so people can actually SEE why I am the obvious choice for them? ๐Ÿš€

I hope you will use the featured section to your advantage. It will really help you stand out from the LinkedIn crowd.

But we are not done for today.

Let us scroll down to the experience section.

Let us work that one out now, as I need to improve it as well lol.

Remember what we said about concrete?

I want that section to be populated by a lot of numbers. Use transformation copy for that.

For example
: โ€Reduced the failure rate of our ui tests from 100% to under 5%โ€ or โ€Implemented a content strategy that grew social media followers by 150% and boosted engagement rates by 40%โ€.

Do not list your duties, but emphasise what you achieved in that role.

Make it tangible
. People want results and transformations from you. I know you can deliver them. You just have to verbalise it too ๐Ÿ‘€

One more tip before you go: if you work as a freelancer, please create a company page for your business. It looks way more professional to have a small logo in that box other than the *grey tunes of LinkedIn* pic. You can also optimise that company page, but it is a story for another time ๐Ÿ”

Hope this was valuable! Here you have the accompanying pdf.

I will see you tomorrow where we will lay our focus on a surprise section from your LinkedIn profile.
