Day 6 - Personal Branding Challenge

Day 6 - Personal Branding Challenge

This is Day 6 of the 7-Day challenge to help you be more visible on LinkedIn 🚀

You can find here Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7.

Each day I will share one simple action step to improve your LinkedIn presence 🔎 And I will make sure it will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Let's go!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

⚡️ A ‘comment’ has 15x the importance of a 'like' on LinkedIn.

So, now you have a complete analysis of some LinkedIn influencers from your industry.

What about commenting on their posts to start gaining some new followers?

Some thoughts:
👉 15+ Word comments are favored by the algorithm. So express your opinion more than with a simple „great post, thanks!”.
👉 On average, a post is seen by 12 - 15% of your network. When you comment on other people’s posts, you get the attention of other people who will give you a connection request and become your audience (if you comment the right way).
👉 Remember: nobody has your story and nobody can tell it the way you can. Take full advantage of that when you comment to other posts.

According to a LinkedIn study, comments are 5 times more effective than sharing someone else's post with your own thoughts 👀

So, start with 1 comment a day, aiming to add value to the post and you will become more visible, I promise you.

The second way of gaining followers is the one no one talks around here: simply sending connection requests to potential leads 🔎

The limit is 100 new invites per week, and you can do it just for the first 30.000 people (after that, the only way of growing the followship is by people sending connections to you / following you).

Especially if you are just beginning your LinkedIn journey, this means you can get 4800 new followers every year, if you send 100 connection requests every week, for 12 months.

When you send a connection request, don’t make it personalized. If the invite is written poorly, there are higher chances you will be rejected.

If you have a very appealing profile, no one will raise an eyebrow at you, even if you don’t send a personalized invite.

They will feel honoured to have been picked by you.

The third way of connecting to people is by becoming a LinkedIn Top Voice 🎙

You need to contribute to minimum 3 AI articles with insightful comments and you may be granted the Top Voice badge.

Unfortunately, this option is not available for everyone and LinkedIn is pretty mystical when it comes to how they choose the people they invite to collaborate on their articles.

But, if you have the option, go for it - it will make your profile waaay more visible and ”follow-able”.

This is it for today. Tomorrow is the last day of our Personal Branding Challenge and we will talk about creating content on LinkedIn 🚀
